We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Manager of Staffing to join our Military Reserve Health Readiness Program (RHRP) team.
As the Manager of Staffing, you will be responsible for leading a team of staffing specialists and overseeing the scheduling process to ensure the efficient deployment of personnel for each event.
Your role will contribute to the delivery of medical and dental services required to meet Individual Medical Readiness and Deployment Health standards for Department of Defense service members geographically remote from military treatment facilities.
Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
Lead and manage a team of staffing specialists, providing guidance, support, and performance management.
Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Develop and implement strategies to enhance team productivity and efficiency.
Recruitment and Selection:
Develop and execute recruitment and staffing plans to attract qualified candidates for staffing specialist positions.
Conduct interviews and make hiring decisions based on candidate qualifications, skills, and fit with the organization.
Collaborate with HR and hiring managers to identify staffing needs and ensure timely fulfillment of requirements.
Implement innovative recruitment strategies to attract a diverse pool of talent.
Scheduling and Deployment:
Maintain our comprehensive event management scheduling system to ensure adequate coverage for medical and dental services.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather and monitor event details, including dates, locations, and personnel requirements.
Match available staffing specialists with appropriate assignments based on their skills, experience, and availability.
Communicate scheduling assignments to the team, providing clear instructions and expectations.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
Monitor the performance and attendance of staffing specialists, identifying areas for improvement, and providing feedback.
Track and report key performance metrics related to staffing, scheduling, compliance, and deployment activities.
Regularly review and analyze data to optimize staffing processes, reduce errors, and improve overall efficiency.
Compliance and Documentation:
Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws, contract requirements, regulations, and organizational policies.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of personnel, including staff contracts, certifications, and training documentation.
Collaborate with HR and legal departments to address any employment-related issues or concerns.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Minimum of 3 years of experience in staffing, recruitment, or workforce management, preferably in a fast-paced healthcare staffing environment.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a large team effectively.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a dynamic setting.
In-depth knowledge of recruitment and staffing processes, including sourcing strategies, interviewing techniques, and onboarding procedures.
Familiarity with medical and dental services, deployment readiness, and military health systems is highly desirable.
Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems, scheduling software, and other relevant tools.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal stakeholders and interact with candidates and employees.
Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
