Responsiblilities include:
Produce a variety of estimates including budgeting, conceptual, GMP, Plan and Spec for plumbing or HVAC projects; and Develop relationships with Owners, Engineers, Construction Managers, Architects, Vendors, Subcontractors and General Contractors.
Read specifications, answer questions, and identify inconsistences.
Communicate with vendors and subcontractors to solicit bids.
Manage the Bid Book and its completeness.
Assess if project is a fit for the Construction Team and communicates that to Project Executive Communicate risks and value of the Project-to-Project Executive Qualified candidates must possess the following minimum requirements:
At least 5 years of estimating experience.
Able to understand the specifications and the drawings while being able to identify any inconsistencies in the documents.
Able to complete take off for all Divisions of the specifications.
Civil, Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, Process /Treatment, and Instrumentation.
Able to read and interpret specifications and estimate quantities on drawings for pricing by others on the team.
Learned to take off and understand plans and specifications in college, vocational school, or in housing industry.
Basic knowledge of architectural and structural drawings.
Able to understand and correlate plan and section views.
Advanced knowledge of excel and word.
Context of job/major challenges- For assigned bids, identify risks and opportunities for chief estimator.
Determines if project is a good fit for Worth.
Reports to Chief Estimator.
Work is moderately supervised.
